Simon is the Managing Director of NHS Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning Group, and a trustee of UST.
Simon has almost thirty years’ experience in a variety of roles in the NHS at local and national level, mainly relating to commissioning, strategy and planning. He started out in the NHS after being a volunteer in the early years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. He is passionate about primary care in particular, and was previously (2013-16) Deputy Chief Officer at NHS Greenwich CCG where he set up GP provider networks and led the development of Eltham community hospital.
Simon has been an active resident of the Royal Borough of Greenwich for over 20 years, is a proud parent, and has an active background in the voluntary and community sector including being a previous Trustee of a hospice. He currently runs his local residents’ association in Blackheath, and is also a Trustee of Metro (an equality and diversity charity providing health, community and youth services in south London and south east England).
