Creative Artsphere
Celebrating the Art of Transformation
Creativity is not an extra. It is transformational.
This summer term, UST Creative Artsphere brings together the music, art, performance, writing and creative experiences already happening across our schools — celebrating the powerful role creativity plays in shaping young people’s confidence, identity and future.

What is Creative Artsphere?
Creative Artsphere is not a single event or performance. It is a festival of creativity across UST schools, bringing together creative learning, enrichment and artistic activity already taking place.
Throughout the summer term, students will take part in workshops, performances, exhibitions and creative experiences that highlight the role creativity plays in learning, wellbeing and personal growth.
This first year establishes UST’s Creative Artsphere as a Trust-wide identity that will continue to grow in future years.
Why Creativity Matters at UST
At UST, we believe creativity is a vital part of how young people learn, grow and understand themselves.
Creative experiences build confidence, resilience and self-expression. Through creating, performing, designing and exploring, students learn to take risks, work collaboratively and develop a strong sense of voice and identity.
Creativity also supports essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, empathy and adaptability, sitting alongside academic learning to support the development of the whole child.
What’s Happening Across Our Schools
During the summer term, Creative Artsphere brings together a rich programme of creative activity across UST schools, celebrating the work already taking place.
This includes music performances and concerts, drama and musical theatre productions, visual arts exhibitions, creative writing and publishing projects, student-led events, enrichment programmes and cross-school collaboration.
Things to look out for in the coming weeks:
- Introduction to the Orchestra
- Summer Arts Showcase
- Oliver the musical
- The Year 6 production at Cyril Jackson
- Shakespeare Showcase
- Young Event Producers event at Trinity Buoy Wharf
- THAMES Music Choir
- Performance at Royal London Hospital
Together, these experiences demonstrate the breadth, ambition and impact of creative learning across the Trust.
CREATE: A Shared Language
Creative Artsphere is supported by CREATE — a shared way of talking about creativity and transformation:
- Curate
- Reinvent
- Explore
- Awaken
- Thrive
- Express
CREATE is not a checklist, but a language that reflects the many creative journeys students experience across UST schools.
This Is Just the Beginning
Creative Artsphere 2026 marks the start of a Trust-wide focus on creativity. In future years, it will continue to grow, strengthening collaboration between schools and developing partnerships with organisations that share our belief in the transformative power of creativity.
