Canary Wharf Secondary Explores Future Pathways at University and Apprenticeship Search Fair

Canary Wharf Secondary, recently attended the UK University and Apprenticeship Search Fair at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, giving students a valuable opportunity to explore their options beyond school and begin planning their next steps with confidence.

The event brought together representatives from universities, higher education providers and leading employers from across the UK, allowing students to discover a wide range of opportunities under one roof. From exploring university courses and degree apprenticeships to investigating different career pathways, students were able to compare options and consider which routes best suited their interests, strengths and ambitions.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives and employers, ask questions and gather prospectuses to support their research. They could also investigate course entry requirements and learn more about the qualifications and experience needed to progress into their chosen fields.

The fair also featured live presentations and expert guidance on important topics, including writing effective personal statements, completing UCAS applications, understanding student finance and choosing the right university course. This advice helped students develop a clearer understanding of the application process and the practical steps involved in preparing for life after secondary education.

Experiences like this are an important part of helping young people make informed decisions about their futures. By meeting professionals and exploring opportunities first hand, students can broaden their horizons, build confidence and gain a better understanding of the different pathways available to them.

At University Schools Trust, we are proud to see Canary Wharf Secondary providing meaningful experiences that encourage students to think ambitiously about their futures. Whether progressing to university, pursuing a degree apprenticeship or entering the world of work, every student deserves the guidance and opportunities needed to succeed.

The visit reflects the Trust’s mission of providing transformational education for all, ensuring every young person can explore their potential, make informed choices and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to shape a successful future.
