Students across University Schools Trust (UST) are celebrating another year of GCSE success, with young people at Royal Greenwich Trust School and St Paul’s Way achieving strong results and securing the qualifications they need to take their next steps.
The achievements of the Class of 2026 reflect the determination, resilience and ambition of students across both schools, supported by high-quality teaching, exceptional pastoral care and opportunities beyond the classroom.
Continued Improvement at Royal Greenwich Trust School
Students and staff at Royal Greenwich Trust School (RGTS) are celebrating continued improvement in GCSE outcomes, with another cohort securing the qualifications needed to progress to exciting next steps.
Head of School, Asma Khan, paid tribute to the Class of 2026:
“Today is a day to celebrate the hard work and perseverance shown by our students throughout their time at RGTS. We are pleased to see continued improvement in our outcomes and proud of the progress this cohort has made.”
Among those celebrating are Marvellous and Christiana, who both achieved Grade 9 in English, Grade 9 in Mathematics and an exceptional 9-9 in Combined Science.
Christiana praised her teachers, saying they “have been consistently excellent and always ready to support me to grow, both academically and personally.”
Also celebrating are Destiny, Andrew, Diana, Isaac, Aliyyah, Nicholas and Andreas, who between them achieved a series of Grade 7 and above results across numerous subjects.
Many students will now continue their studies at RGTS Sixth Form, specialising in Business and Engineering and benefiting from expert teaching, industry-linked opportunities and strong university partnerships.
St Paul’s Way Students Celebrate GCSE Success
Meanwhile, students and staff at St Paul’s Way are celebrating another successful GCSE Results Day.
Leading the way is Safwan, who achieved an extraordinary ten Grade 9s. Reflecting on his time at St Paul’s Way, Safwan highlighted the impact of opportunities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which helped develop his critical thinking and communication skills.
Also celebrating is Fatima, who achieved nine Grade 9s and a Grade 7, while fellow high achiever Samiul achieved seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s.
Head of School, Firdusi Uddin, congratulated students, saying:
“These results represent far more than grades alone. They reflect years of commitment, perseverance and personal development, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff and families.”

Celebrating Student Success
Behind the impressive headline figures are many individual success stories.
Christiana (RGTS)
Christiana began her education at St Mary Magdalene and achieved 99999998. She will continue her studies at either Newham Collegiate Sixth Form or Brampton Manor Academy, where she plans to study Maths, Further Maths, History and Economics.
Christiana is grateful for the excellent support of her teachers, who consistently helped her grow both academically and personally. The practice papers and resources they provided also played an important role in helping her prepare and achieve her results.
Some of her favourite memories at RGTS include Winter Fest, the volleyball club, lunch breaks with her friends, and lessons in History and English. She also remembers the excitement of receiving her mock results.
Looking ahead, Christiana has not yet decided on a specific career but knows she would like to pursue something involving Maths, with potential interests including quantitative research or data science.
“Do not procrastinate or become complacent. Trust your abilities, but never stop improving. There is always another level to reach, so let ambition drive your dedication.”

Andrew (RGTS)
Andrew has achieved outstanding grades of 99888886 and will continue his studies at Thomas Tallis, where he plans to study Maths, Economics and Spanish.
Andrew credits the tremendous support of his teachers and the encouragement of his peers for helping him achieve his results. His teachers never gave up on him and consistently encouraged and motivated him, helping him build confidence and improve his performance. In Year 11, the school’s focused tutor sessions also allowed him to concentrate on individual subjects and strengthen his skills.
Looking back, his favourite experience at RGTS was the entire journey through school, with the Southend trip standing out as a particular highlight. He enjoyed spending time with his cohort and making lasting memories together.
Looking ahead, Andrew hopes to pursue a career in Finance or Accounting, with the ambition of building a successful career in the sector.

Samiul (SPW)
Samiul began his education at Ben Johnson Primary School before going on to achieve outstanding GCSE results, achieving 9999999888. He will continue his studies at London Academy of Excellence or Newham College Sixth Form, where he plans to study Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Economics.
Samiul credits the support of his teachers and the wide range of learning resources, including books and tools, for helping him achieve his results. He particularly valued having supportive teachers who encouraged him throughout his studies.
One of his best experiences at SPW was his Maths lessons, where he enjoyed learning alongside his friends. Their shared enthusiasm made him look forward to each lesson even more.
Looking ahead, Samiul hopes to pursue a career in computer programming or software development. His advice to younger students is to enjoy the subjects they can see themselves working in, as finding enjoyment in learning can be the greatest motivation.
“Above all, choose subjects you can see yourself enjoying in the future. When you enjoy what you do, motivation comes naturally.”

Nyela (SPW)
Nyela began her education at St Paul’s Way Trust before going on to achieve strong GCSE results, achieveing 87665554. She will continue her education at Leyton Sixth Form College, where she plans to study Sociology, Drama and Politics.
Nyela credits the school’s pre-exam revision sessions for helping her prepare effectively and achieve her results. She is particularly grateful for the amazing support and attention to detail from her teachers, which made her feel encouraged and well prepared throughout her GCSEs.
Looking back, one of her best experiences at St Paul’s Way Trust was the support she received from her teachers, who consistently encouraged her to do her best. Her advice to younger students beginning their GCSEs is not to stress too much, stay focused and trust that things will work out.
