We are delighted to celebrate the official unveiling of the newly resurfaced football pitch at Cyril Jackson. This term marked the completion of a major upgrade to the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), where a professional standard AstroTurf surface has been installed to enhance the sporting experience for every pupil.

The new surface brings immediate improvements to safety, accessibility and year round usability. Pupils can now enjoy physical education lessons, clubs and competitive sport in all weather conditions, ensuring that participation remains consistent throughout the school calendar.

Many of our young learners have already shared their excitement, noting the improved comfort underfoot, better traction and an overall smoother playing experience.

A wide range of activities have benefited from the upgrade. Football sessions feel more engaging, athletics drills can be carried out with greater precision and small team games run more effectively in a safer and more supportive environment.

These enhancements not only enrich daily lessons but also help pupils nurture their growing confidence and sporting skills.
