Harnessing Data to Drive School Improvement Across the Trust

In the ever-evolving field of data, we continue to make progress in better using information to inform decision-making.

A particular focus, especially for our primary schools, has been the intentional use of assessment and gaining a quantitative understanding of schools. Leaders have devised an assessment strategy, in collaboration with headteachers and assessment leads across the Trust, which will enable primary provision to centralise key assessment functions over time.

As part of this process, data leads have been working closely with schools to enhance and customise our data management system, Arbor, equipping teachers and leaders with the tools they need to carry out vital analysis.

We anticipate that these changes will make it easier for stakeholders and Trustees to review results across the Trust, while also alleviating teacher workload and supporting leaders in driving school improvement.

We look forward to the soft launch of the assessment strategy across the primary provision in the summer term, with full implementation planned from 1st September 2025.
