Recently, we held our first-ever Trust-wide Inset Day, bringing together colleagues from across our schools for a day dedicated to learning, collaboration and inspiration.

The event marked a significant milestone in our journey to provide transformational education for all, with staff united in their commitment to transformational education and community.

The day opened with a warm welcome from Professor Peter Heathcote, Chair of Trustees, and CEO Gillian Kemp, who shared the Trust’s new People Strategy.

This important development set out a vision for empowering staff and creating an environment where every member of our community can thrive.

We were privileged to hear from guest speakers who inspired and challenged us. Dr Jo Salter MBE spoke about her pioneering journey into the RAF, reminding us of the importance of resilience and nurturing others.

Her message that our impact is often unseen but always meaningful resonated deeply with staff.

Leora Cuddas CBE, from the Confederation of School Trusts, addressed the challenges facing young people today, urging schools to work together in supporting families and ensuring children grow into flourishing adults.

The day concluded with reflections from our leadership team. Matthew Glenn, Director of Education Secondary, led a panel including Laura McPhee, Director of Education Primary, Executive Headteachers Cath Smith and Siobhan Fehim, and Cyril Jackson Headteacher Hodo Dirir. They shared powerful insights into the benefits of greater collaboration and knowledge sharing across our schools.

With support from our lead sponsor Queen Mary University of London, the day was a resounding success. It reflected the strength of our community and our shared determination to shape the best outcomes for every child.
