Students from St Paul's Way Trust School have achieved outstanding success in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, demonstrating confidence, creativity and the power of student voice.

Congratulations to Year 10 students Theo and Eiliyah, who represented their school at the regional final on 26 March. Selected from over a thousand participants, they were among just 20 finalists to reach this stage, a significant achievement in itself.

Each student delivered a self written speech on a topic they felt passionate about. Theo explored the urgent issue of climate change, while Eiliyah spoke about the impact of social media.

Both performances were highly commended by the judges for their clarity, confidence and thoughtful content.

Eiliyah was awarded third place, proudly taking home her first competition trophy. This success reflects the dedication and resilience shown by both students throughout the competition process.

We are incredibly proud of Theo and Eiliyah for representing their school and the Trust with such distinction, using their voices to engage with important issues that affect young people today.

This achievement highlights the importance of providing inspirational opportunities for young people. Experiences such as the Speak Out Challenge support our mission to provide transformational education for all, enabling students to build confidence, develop their voice and realise their potential.
