St Paul’s Way Secondary Visits HSBC innovation Tower

Year 7 students from across St Pauls’ Way Secondary recently visited the HSBC Innovation Lab, where they were introduced to the exciting world of technology, programming and innovation. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore how technology is shaping the future and discover the wide range of careers available within the sector.

Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of interactive activities designed to develop their understanding of coding and emerging technologies. Working through practical challenges, they learned how programming can be used to solve problems and create new ideas, while gaining an insight into the skills that are increasingly important in today's digital world.

One of the highlights of the visit was the chance to experience virtual reality using VR headsets. Students explored immersive environments and saw how virtual reality is transforming the way people learn, work and communicate. This hands on experience brought technology to life and encouraged students to think about the many ways innovation can improve everyday life.

The visit also gave students the opportunity to meet professionals working within the industry and learn more about the different pathways into technology careers.

By hearing about real experiences and exploring cutting edge technology, students were inspired to think creatively about their own futures and the possibilities available to them.

We would like to thank HSBC for welcoming our students and providing such an engaging and informative experience. Partnerships like this help broaden horizons, build confidence and connect classroom learning with real world opportunities.

Experiences like these reflect our Trusts core mission to transformational education for all. By giving students access to innovative learning experiences, industry expertise and future focused skills, we are helping every young person develop the confidence, knowledge and ambition to thrive in an ever-changing world.
