We proudly hosted our first ever Futures Fair, at St Paul’s Way Secondary also welcoming students from Royal Greenwich Trust school, a landmark event designed to support students in exploring the wide range of opportunities available beyond school.

Bringing together over 200 students from across London, the Futures Fair was built around the theme “Beyond the Obvious”.

The sole purpose was to encourage students to challenge assumptions, broaden their horizons and consider pathways they may not have previously explored. From undergraduate study to apprenticeships, a diverse range of providers were on hand to showcase the many routes available after school.

A key feature of the day was the opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers who have taken less conventional paths in their careers. Keynote speakers Sofia Ilyas and Helen Bazuaye shared their experiences, offering valuable insight into their journeys and the decisions that shaped them.

Students also had the chance to engage with ambassadors from Queen Mary University of London, who answered questions and provided first hand perspectives on university life.

We are grateful to our university partners, Queen Mary University of London, University of East London and University of Greenwich, whose collaboration helped to shape and deliver this impactful event.

The Futures Fair created a space for students to reflect, ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to them.

It was an inspiring and informative experience that aimed to empower young people to make confident, informed decisions about their futures..

By exposing students to a breadth of pathways and meaningful experiences, we are demonstrating our commitment to ensuring every young person has access to the best possible opportunities to succeed and thrive.
