Pupils from Cyril Jackson, Sir William Burrough and St Paul’s Way Primary recently enjoyed a series of exciting Sports Days at Mile End Stadium, making the most of the excellent facilities while demonstrating determination, teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship.

For many pupils, the opportunity to compete in a professional athletics venue made the day even more special. Throughout the events, children embraced every challenge, encouraged one another and celebrated each other's achievements, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere.

At Sir William Burrough Primary School, pupils took part in a range of sports events, showing great enthusiasm and resilience. Whether sprinting towards the finish line, taking on relay races or competing in field events, children gave their all and proudly represented their school.

At St Paul's Way Primary School, pupils demonstrated exceptional energy and commitment throughout the day. Their willingness to challenge themselves and support their classmates highlighted the strong sense of teamwork that underpins school life. Every race and activity was met with determination and encouragement from both participants and spectators.

Meanwhile, pupils from Cyril Jackson Primary School embraced the opportunity to showcase their sporting talents. Their positive attitudes, respect for others and eagerness to participate ensured a memorable day for everyone involved. The event provided valuable opportunities for pupils to build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy healthy competition.

Across all three schools, Sports Day was about much more than winning races. It was an opportunity for pupils to develop resilience, build friendships and experience the joy of taking part in physical activity. The events highlighted the importance of teamwork, perseverance and personal achievement.
