Excitement is building at Cyril Jackson Primary School as pupils prepare to take part in the CJ World Cup, an exciting football competition that will bring together children from across the school in a celebration of teamwork, sport and friendly competition.

The tournament will be organised into three group stage competitions. Group One will include pupils from Years 1 and 2, Group Two will feature Years 3 and 4, and Group Three will consist of Years 5 and 6. Pupils from every class will have the opportunity to sign up and take part, making this a whole school event that everyone can enjoy.

One of the most exciting moments will take place during a future assembly, when countries will be drawn from a hat. Each team will then represent their assigned nation throughout the tournament, creating a World Cup atmosphere across the school and giving pupils the opportunity to proudly represent their country on the pitch.

The CJ World Cup is open to both girls and boys, with staff actively encouraging participation from all pupils. The competition aims to promote the enjoyment of sport, physical activity and teamwork, while providing opportunities for children to build confidence, develop new skills and form positive relationships with their peers.

Throughout the tournament, teams will compete within their groups to earn a place at the top of the table. The winning team from each group will be crowned champions, recognising their commitment, teamwork and sporting spirit.
