Policy and Practice

To implement robust policies that clearly set out the responsibilities of our schools, guiding behaviour, provision of education and the work of staff and governors, ensuring equality and fairness in their application.

Consistent Application of Policy

We are committed to providing clarity around our policies, ensuring that procedures are clearly defined at each stage to eliminate ambiguity. By consistently and transparently articulating expectations and processes, we will ensure that all employees are accountable for their actions and that policies are applied in a fair and unbiased way.

Introduction of a Resolution Framework

The introduction of a Resolution Framework will support managers on how to address issues through early intervention. This framework will provide a simpler, more focused approach to recurring issues and foster a culture of openness and constructive advice for addressing low-level staffing concerns such as punctuality, dress code, and professional expectations. It aims to upskill managers and equip them with a restorative approach for these concerns, as well as aligning with the trust's values and culture.

Effective Training Programme

To support the consistent application of Trust policies, we will develop a suite of e-training resources for employees and managers to access as needed.

In addition, a programme for training will be created for colleagues with remits of responsibility (e.g. line managers) and the HR team will further support these individuals with in-person training and coaching (as part of INSET days, Twilight, meetings etc).
