St Paul’s Way Sixth Form Students Develop Business Skills at Young Entrepreneurs Academy Bootcamp

Year 12 students from St Paul’s Way Sixth Form (SPW6), part of University Schools Trust, recently took part in an exciting one-day Business Bootcamp delivered by the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, giving them the opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship and develop valuable skills for their future.

Throughout the day, students were challenged to think like entrepreneurs, discovering what it takes to turn an initial idea into a successful business. Through a range of engaging activities, they explored the different stages of developing a business concept and considered the creativity, planning and determination needed to bring an idea to life.

The bootcamp encouraged students to work collaboratively, share their ideas and approach challenges with an open and innovative mindset. By working alongside their peers, they strengthened important skills including teamwork, communication, problem solving and creative thinking. These are valuable qualities that can support students not only in business but also in further education and their future careers.

A key part of the experience was connecting classroom learning with real world business scenarios. Students were encouraged to consider the opportunities and challenges involved in starting and running a business, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial journey and the decisions business owners face.

The experience also provided an opportunity for students to build confidence in their own ideas and recognise the value of taking initiative. Developing an enterprising mindset can open doors to a wide range of future possibilities, whether students choose to establish their own business or apply these skills in the workplace.

At University Schools Trust, we are proud to see SPW6 creating opportunities for students to develop beyond the classroom and discover their potential.

The bootcamp reflects our mission of providing transformational education for all, equipping every young person with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to pursue their ambitions and shape a successful future.
